Stevens Pass

After such a rough run the day before we didn't have high expectations for day 21, but we were blown out of the water.
This day was incredible!  Hiking 1300+ ft from the parking lot to the top of the ridge we had our longest runs of the year so far.  By the end we had gone about 5 miles in 4.5 hours.  We did one and a half laps, and got to drop into fabulous wide open slopes as you can see in the pictures.
However we are in the north west, so of course it started to rain as soon as we got back to the car.

We stayed the night there and listened to the winds and rain melt all that lovely snow.  We were parked across the street from the actual ski area (where they stay open til 10pm, and leave the lights on all night) which is the picture of the blurry lights.

We woke up to hard snow, high avi danger and the parking lot had turned into an ice skating rank.

Seattle anyone?
